A: As you can see, my hair is pretty fine, straight, thin and all the other adjectives that define "lifeless." That's why I followed Michelle's advice and stopped layering it, so now I just trim it with a mechanical razor, and it does look fuller.
On the colour subject, I've had highlights, dyed my hair brunette, and then strawberry blonde, and had lowlights. I'm currently sporting a subtle Ombré achieved via some salon lowlights to mix with my roots, and a homemade lightening of the tips. (And lazy upkeep of the rest of the hair with the excuse that it ought to "rest" because I'm finding more and more hair in my brush.)
So my main challenge is to make my face look less full. My other problem is that I struggle to attain volume, and on the rare occasions that I do, it is usually by back-combing and I'm left with coarser hair. Thanks Michelle for this opportunity! — Bárbara
A: Bárbara, thank you for requesting a consultation. Great description of your hair issues...
Nope, no volume in your hair. You must own your pretty flat hair and make a few adjustments to it.
Moving the part around is your best friend—from low and deep to off-centre.
Make your colour gorgeous. Filling your ends with colour will help revive them and you will not need to cut as much.
This is the hair colour I have chosen for you:
Curling with a wand or curling iron just on the ends will add interest.
Clean-cut ends and shiny hair are a girl's bestest friends.
