Slap a heart on pretty much anything and I'm in. Slap it on the best portable water bottle on the planet, and I could die of happiness. Will you look at this lineup from bkr—their Holiday Heartbkrs collection?
I know you want one already. But why are these so great, aside from the cuteness of the hearts and the sophisticated colour palette?
Basically they've solved a problem that used to bug me for years—that it was impossible to find a plastic water bottle that was actually safe to drink from and didn't leach out harmful, endocrine-disrupting chemicals. (I don't even trust the supposedly BPA-free stuff.) I did switch to SIGG, the aluminum kind, shortly before I got my first bkr two or three years ago. But there's something about drinking out of nice, transparent glass that feels a lot better than silver aluminum, and I'm sure it tastes better, too. Now, I'm always sad when the bkr has to go in the dishwasher and I'm stuck with the SIGGs. (The SIGGs can't go in the dishwasher, which is another bone of contention.)
But I know what you're thinking. Won't the glass break? Not if it's encased in a comfy, non-toxic silicone sleeve. (They will replace it if it does break in the first 90 days, but like I said, I've used my first one for two or three years with zero problems.)
Here's what my new fave bkr looks like, so you can get a feel for the sleeve and the size (500 mL or 16 oz. and it fits comfortably in your hand):
You can fill 'er up with water, juice, whatever—and when you're done, the whole thing goes on the top rack of the dishwasher; you don't even need to remove the sleeve.
Totally makes it easy to drink the skin-beautifying concoction of your choice while on the go. Look at all these celebs who carry bkrs!
(That was Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bündchen, Jamie Chung, Kristen Bell, Leighton Meester, Malin Akerman and Michelle Trachtenberg, by the way. And Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba are also fans.)
The company also comes out with seasonal collections—this is fall 2013:
And this is summer 2013:
The fall colours would be great for guys... or if you don't actually like hearts (gasp!). Again, you can find the plain colours on their website or at Boutique To You, The Trend Boutique, DermStore, b-Glowing, Green Cupboards and Amazon.com.
