No Dark Shadows Concealer Might Be Even Better Than Touche Éclat

All about the complexion-enhancing pen you've probably seen lately at Shoppers and Murale.

This one's for the Canadians (since as far as I know, this multi-tasking concealer/highlighter pen is only available here). I started using the No Dark Shadows Complexion Enhancer over Christmas break, thinking it was going to be another one of those wimpy concealer pens that don't conceal shit. (Excusez-moi, but you know exactly what I'm talkin' about.)

But it's not. This thing is fantastic. It's the same twisty pen action that you're well familiar with:

Except what comes out is much more pigmented than the norm. It's not full-coverage–since that's a bit extreme except for zits—but it's definitely a solid, strong medium. The other bonus is that it's actually waterproof. This thing doesn't faff around.

These are the two shades it comes in, Wow and Pizazz (cheesiest shade names ever):

As you can see, fair-skinned people like me would be a match for Wow; Pizazz is for medium tones but they unfortunately don't have anything darker. That's the ONLY thing wrong with this product.

Its main purpose, as the name indicates, is to cover the darkness around your eyes, but you can also use it on all the other areas that bug you, like the redness around the nose. In a pinch, it does work on pimples (although I prefer to use a full-coverage concealer like this one for that, applied with a tiny lip brush comme ça for maximum precision).

I know it's bold to say I like it more than YSL's famous Touche Éclat, but it essentially does the same things, except you get a lot more coverage. Besides concealing, it works well as an eye primer or highlighter. I love it to throw light around the nasolabial folds, the corners of the mouth and the Cupid's bow, for example.

On good skin days, you may find you don't need any other coverage. And it's not oily at all; it dries down to a completely non-greasy skin texture.

Sasha over at Lainey Gossip loves it, too. Have you tried? Let me know what you think!
