Gisele Bündchen's 10 Best Hair and Makeup Looks

Does the Brazilian supermodel and new Pantene ambassador EVER have a bad hair day?

According to Forbes, Gisele Bündchen is STILL the world's highest-paid supermodel, a title she's held for seven years running. Seven! And I think it's all because of her hair. Get ready to lust over it all over again, in this retrospective of her best beauty looks. (No wonder the 33-year-old has just been tapped to rep Pantene!)

1. Blonde waves with subtle Ombré and a teased crown

We'll kick things off with this photo dating back to 2006, at one of her Victoria's Secret shows:

I think we can safely say that Gisele was the one to launch the whole Ombré trend. While I'm well over the look on other celebs, Gisele's subtle colour job is still perfection, all these years later. I love that there's a little darkness for a few inches at the roots, and then it gradually tumbles into those glorious cascading blonde waves. Notice how she's channelling Brigitte Bardot with the soft teasing at the crown.

2. Tousled waves, blush and freckles

For the launch of this Dolce & Gabbana fragrance in 2007, she had the same sexy hairstyle, minus the backcombing.

I think it's just the lighting that's making it look a shade darker. I'm digging the flushed cheeks and freckles—the latter somehow make her a bit less intimidating.

3. Air-dried straight hair with beachy texture

Also in 2007, she showed up at a more low-key event with her hair au naturel:

God, to look this good without makeup or even running a brush through your hair. She probably let it air-dry for that textured, beachy finish, which I can only dream of achieving.

4. Smooth, glam blowout with bronzed skin and stained lips

I love this next look from the Rainforest Alliance gala in 2009:

Here, that famous hair has been blown out into smooth, loose waves that have a hint of Old Hollywood about them. I am also obsessed with the earrings. She's quite tanned here (but it looks like the real thing?) and needs barely any makeup except mascara, tawny blush and a soft stain on the lips.

5. Centre-parted, textured waves with smudgy liner

Also in 2009, Gisele stepped out for the Costume Institute Gala in this bombshell look:

Hawt. Here, she went for a centre part and soft, sexy, imperfect waves that started higher up (around her eye level instead of shoulders). She also rimmed her eyes with a bit of navy to pick up on the sequinned bustier dress, but her makeup, as always, is light and fresh.

6. Sleek high pony with edgy gunmetal shadow

This next look (at the 2010 Met Gala) was a bit of a departure:

It's very runway. Hair is scraped up into a high pony, and she's emphasized her eyes with a smudgy dark silver colour that extends in a thick, graphic shape at the outer corners.

7. High pony, black cat's eyes and nude gloss

She also wore a high pony to the AFI Achievement Awards in 2011:

This time, her makeup of choice was a subtle black cat eye with a nude lip gloss. I sure wish a lot of the overdone celebs on the red carpet would get this memo.

8. Old Hollywood waves with soft pink lips

For the 2011 Met Ball, G was back to glam, retro waves:

So simple and beautiful. And her hair colour really hasn't changed.

9. Scraped-back hair and bare-faced makeup

For the same Costume Institute event in 2012, she wore her hair completely back and off her face:

There's a deep side part, and then it's slicked back tight to the head, all the better to show off her model bone structure. Looks like she's just wearing mascara, a hint of lipstick and a tan. Oh, to be a model and able to step out in public so bare-faced...

10. Light brown waves and a glossy lip

This final pic is from last year, at the 2013 AFI Achievement Awards:

Same signature loose waves, same minimal makeup, but she's changed up her hair colour to an all-over light brown with tone-on-tone highlights.

Have your say

Do you think Gisele is a good fit for Pantene?

Which is your favourite of these looks?

Do you love her blonde Ombré or are you into the new brown hair colour?
