Ask a Hairstylist: The Best Way to Style Frizzy, Wavy Hair
Welcome to our Hair Consultations column. To request an online hair consultation, follow the instructions here.
Q: My main hair problem is that it is frizzy, and has a lot of split ends. The texture of my hair is thick, with a little bit of wave, and frizziness.
My hair is naturally brown, but right now it has a natural Ombré look to it. I would love a hair consultation. Thank you! — Kelsey
A: Kelsey, I love your texture...
Your natural texture can be controlled with a product like a molding paste on wet hair, and then combed smooth.
After this, scrunch the waves back in and let dry. You must not rough up your hair too much after this, or it will bring back the frizz.
The part and length of this style would rock a new look and suit your face shape.
Putting a dark rinse on the ends will bring back shine and help to define them.
The only way to deal with split ends is with scissors.
Give this a go—I'm sure it will look amazing!
