This week's most creative makeup look had to be Ashley Benson's dramatic application of shimmering pink eyeshadow. (I mean... wow!) Otherwise, red lips ruled the red carpets, with the prettiest ones showing up on Christina Hendricks, Cara Delevingne and Sara Sampaio.
These were the best celebrity beauty looks this week:
There are a few things I would change about the rest of her styling (which I'll get to in a sec), but Ashley nailed her eye makeup here—and I'm surprised by how much I like it! With the metallic pink, she combined a 360-degree application with a sweep up on the diagonal (both so on trend right now), and then did soft black in the waterlines to ground it. The lashes aren't too fake and distracting, either. What I'd do differently is the lipstick (bare lips would be better), and her hair colour (I prefer solid blonde over rooty, stripey highlights). Oh, and a few strays on her upper lip. Oops!
Classic Christina coming atcha, and as you can see, she went back to red hair. Looks amazing, as does the juicy red lip, and her seamless blush. No to the eyelashes, though.
Here, her hair seems another colour. Wig, colour fade or just the lighting? I don't know, but I like the softer effect along with the pinky stained makeup. However, she is wearing too much blush.
Last Christina pic this week, and we're back to the red lipstick, red hair pairing. Unfortunately, I don't like this hairstyle; it's very aging with her new longer length. But damn, that lip colour! The makeup, and her skin, are both beautiful.
I want to quit Cara, but with pics like this, I just can't! She is just too good on the red carpet—here, with a super-undone loose braid, brick red lipstick and shaded but not heavy eyes. Perfection.
This one's a lot more intense in both the makeup and her gaze. She's wearing sultry smoky eyes with strong peach blush and a pale, slightly shimmery peach lipstick (a colour I've had major feels for lately). But mostly, I'm enamoured with her hair in this shot: soft, touchable, air-dried Sombré.
Victoria's Secret newbie Sara may have a teensy bit of lipstick on her teeth, but otherwise, she is flawless! I adore her healthy beauty vibe, with sparkly eyes, shiny hair, fresh skin and then just the hit of matte orangey-red lipstick. So summery.
We haven't seen Naomie on the blog in a while, but she still knows how to own the red carpet. Purplish-pink lipstick, natural lashes (hooray!) and black liner for definition are all she needs to complement that sweep of shiny, straight, side-parted hair. I sooo love her sleek, simple style.
Kendall mixed things up this week with a high-necked dress and hair and makeup to match. The focus is all on her lashes, which I want to hate, but don't. With the shimmery sheer shadow, minimal other makeup and her hair back, it kinda works! Note the exaggerated angle of the brows.

Rachel hasn't been taking any beauty risks lately, but I still can't fault this look: smoky eyes, glossy berry lips and her bob worn in a deep side part. I much prefer her hairstyle this way versus the centre part she wore last week.
Halston wore her red lips dark and matte, and although a bit wintery, it's a nice change of pace. Her skin is so matte and flawless as well! What I don't love is her hair-highlighting job. It would be way better if she added darker pieces instead, and used her natural brown colour as the highlight.
Emily's plumped-up lips are so ridiculous, and yet, she's still such a pretty girl—especially when she's styled casually, like here. I love her natural brows, simple hair and peachy blush dusted across the cheeks and over the nose for a faux-sunburnt look.
Charlize's makeup is pretty but boring, as per usual, but not her hair. The intricate braids add such a cool detail to her updo. I will also say, her skin is in impeccable condition.
Kira is one of the few people who can pull off a high, tight ponytail—it really looks cute on her. What's interesting about her makeup is the skinny slick of electric blue liner in her lower waterlines. Such a fun little surprise; I would've dialled back the brown shadow to make it stand out even more.
Pretty Victoria seems to favour a lot of strong, cool-toned colours in her makeup, like this pink lipstick and blush with the heavy black lashes and liner. It's a more precise and heavy makeup look than I typically go for, but she does look great. I'd love to see her hair in a lob for a change.
Melanie Brown, a.k.a Mel B. from the Spice Girls, has been doing a lot of these tight updos lately, all the better to show off glowy skin and dramatic eye makeup. I think the taupe shadow up to the brows is cool, but the lashes are way too long and clumpy.
I'd kill for AnnaSophia's brows—and her beauty look in general. Her skin has a lovely translucent quality, accentuated by champagne-pink shadow, defined lashes, stained cheeks and glossy lips. I'm getting a bit of a young Amanda Seyfried vibe.
The orange-red is Jenna's Life Lipstick, I think. It's so perfect with her warm skin, green eyes and black hair. I just wish she'd ditch the false lashes. And I don't know if it's just the lighting, but I find her foundation a bit heavy.

Very nice, Cheryl! I always love seeing her freckles, and she did a good job with the rest of the makeup: peach blush on the apples, glossy nude lips, soft smoky shadow and not-too-OTT eyelashes. I also like her lob pinned back on the one side.
Danika is here because of her hair. My goodness, she has beautiful hair! See, I think we all got extensions fatigue and everyone in Hollywood collectively got lobs. But ultra-long hair isn't wrong when it looks like this, and not too styled. Her hair looks healthy, natural and real.
Nope, it's not Leighton Meester! But Italia sure looks like her. I love her summery makeup—freckles, blush across the nose, a glossy stain—and the beach-textured updo. She just might grow out her brows a tad.
I don't think Amy has been on the blog since she dyed her hair this darker auburn colour. I still can't decide if I prefer her as a blonde or a brunette/redhead. I do like how this shade makes her eyes pop (although one eye looks quite bloodshot?). And it's nice to see her having fun with her makeup, via a bright pink on the lips.
Like Danika, Madison is here for her hair—her voluminous, glorious mane of hair. I want to see more curly girls like this on the red carpet! Now, if only she'd tone down the makeup, because she doesn't need to wear so much. The blush and liner are too heavy, and there's too much darkness under her eyes.
