There's no shortage of colour in this latest edition of summery celebrity beauty looks! Think: hot pink lips on Lea Michele, blue shimmery shadow on Kerry Washington and a bright orange mouth on Gigi Hadid, for starters.
These were the best celebrity beauty looks this week:
Lea is rocking not just an electric fuchsia mouth—it's also accented by a swipe of shimmery gold underneath the lower lash lines. I love this idea of mixing cool with warm, and making the lipstick a bit less serious. Brows are tidy, and I love the tousled Sombré waves with a fresh trim, and pinned back on one side.
Kerry is looking better than ever, and effortlessly pulling off this shimmering smoky shadow in a muted greenish-blue. Normally, I prefer such dramatic eyes to stand on their own, but these look fantastic with the glossy berry lips; her wavy, side-parted lob ties everything together. If only she'd ease up on the lashes—she doesn't need them.
I do believe Gigi is strobing again. She looks out-of-this-world radiant here, complementing her plump, glowy skin with a bold orange lipstick and black liner on the upper lash lines only. The soft, face-framing waves are very Brigitte Bardot.
Beautiful Salma makes this unusual rust-coloured eyeshadow and lip gloss pairing actually look aspirational (who woulda thought?). Hair off the face keeps the focus on the makeup, and notice that she used a very light touch on the blush. I love the chunky lashes as well. Stunning!
Kate looks so elegant and refined here. Her short cut has amazing volume, and the delicately shaded eyes, with the emphasis on the lower outer corners, are truly perfection. It's just too bad about the obvious lip liner on the bottom lip (of course).
Kate is wearing: CC cream in Light • Contour • Blush in Ménage a Trois Flush • Highlighter • Eyeshadow in Millenium • Eyeshadow in Meteore • Eyeliner in Cocoa • Eyeliner in Go For A Ride • Lipstick in Desire • Lip pencil in Mahogany
Emma's soft makeup is lovely—stained lips, glowy skin and yes, I can even get behind the fluffy eyelashes. I thought it was her blonde hair colour that didn't sit right with me, but now I'm wondering if it's because she keeps wearing her hair tucked behind both ears. I think looser, edgier hair would suit her better.
We know January likes to get crazy with her eye makeup (see here and here), so I appreciate the risk-taking with this baby blue wing above the standard black liner, which picks up on the '60s print of her dress. At least her skin is fresh, mouth muted and hair soft and casual. I don't remember her brows being this full before.
No wonder Tyra is smizing—her hair and makeup are perfect. She looks amazing in this choppy pixie cut, which catches the light and frames her eyes beautifully. Smoky shadow and a pop of sheer pink on the lips complete the look.
Usually, we see Bella in these waves and some variation on gold eyeliner, but this time, she went for a classic black cat eye with (what I think are unnecessary) individual lashes at the outer corners. Her matte, lined lips are giving me shades of Kylie Jenner, but at least they're in peachy-pink, not brown.
Eyeshadow for days! Morena has tons of lid space, which makes her the perfect candidate for this smoky brown shadow with champagne shimmer. I like that there's no obvious liner, and the lashes are restrained. The seamless blush and rosy lipstick are balanced without stealing the show. I'm assuming this is an updo—maybe more dramatic earrings are needed?
Camila is this week's "most improved," because last time we saw her, she looked like she was going to the prom. But here, we get to appreciate her super-pretty hair colour (which perfectly matches her eyes) and on-trend wavy lob. I'm not crazy about the lashes, but love the red lips to match her quirky lipstick-print blouse.
Rebecca makes a dramatic debut here on the blog, with side-swept waves, glowing skin and lined eyes. The coral lips and gold shadow are great with her colouring, although I'm mesmerized most of all by her natural brows. They are perfect!
It's not every day that you see a forest green eyeshadow, but I think Gemma basically made it work. The key is having her hair off her face in a soft updo, with nude lips, sheer blush and foundation that lets her freckles show through. I get the reason behind the black tightlining, but it's a little too thick/harsh.
So great to see Amber working a minimalist '90s look in boyish cropped hair, black mascara and an interesting soft brick lip. And she's another one whose hair colour perfectly matches her eyes.
How glam is Priyanka? Her look is on the heavier side, but that doesn't mean it's not gorgeous on her—from the lined and shaded eyes to the soft marsala lips to the slightly bouffant ponytail. She's a true beauty.
I feel like the area in between Adrianne's brows is a bit too obviously Botoxed, but otherwise this is a pretty, simple beauty look. Dewy skin, glossy lips, skinny eyeliner and touchable waves—the only things I'd ditch are the lashes.
Janel looks cute in this high ponytail with plump cherry-red lips. I'd tone down the highlighting in the centre of her face, which doesn't seem to quite match her skin tone, and I think her brows are too angular (probably from threading?). Plus, this makeup would be cooler without the false lashes.
Here's another example of this new brownish lip colour in a sheer finish. Emily wears it with smudgy-smoky eyes, defined lashes and sun-kissed skin. The hair is okay, but I'd love to see her make a more definitive style statement. I think she'd also look more modern rocking her normal pale skin instead of the fake tan.
Holy amazing hair on Judy. I love the mass of wild, tousled waves in a deep side part at this mid-length, plus the flattering strawberry blonde colour. I think if she just softened the lip texture, or even just did a clear gloss, this would look younger.
Another wavy hairstyle, but Ellen's is shorter and with an off-centre part—I think it might look even better with a deep side part like Judy. However, the fresh makeup is perfect, and her brows really frame her face.
Elizabeth chose a simple updo with the makeup emphasis on strong brows. They seem a little heavy on the brow powder, whereas I prefer the effect of a brow mascara instead. Still, she looks pretty—notice little bit of sparkle at the inner corners of her eyes to catch the light. I also don't mind the bare lips at all.
