From Winged Eyeshadow to Purple Lipstick: 19 of the Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks Lately
In this batch of celeb looks, it was Kristen Stewart who wore the most unusual makeup: super-dramatic winged black shadow that few of us will be trying at home! But there are plenty of more wearable celeb looks, including Jordin Sparks' quirky purple lipstick, Holland Roden's electric blue eyeliner and Imogen Poots' bold brows.
These were the best celebrity beauty looks this week:
Kristen Stewart
We saw it on the runways first, and now Kristen is one of the few souls brave enough to test-drive this borderline cray-cray eye makeup look. (Well, some of you will think it's full cray.) As you can see in the close-up, the colour goes right up to the crease instead of hovering conservatively near the lash line; it's underneath the eyes in a skinnier line as well. She paired it perfectly with nude, matte lips, barely-there blush and hair off the face.

Jordin Sparks
This might be my favourite Jordin look ever! Obviously, the neon purple lipstick is the star of the show, and it's complemented nicely by clean skin and lids (no blush or shadow to distract), and a big mass of natural, half-up curls. The graphic yellow shirt and oversized hoop earrings complete the fun vibe.
Holland Roden
This is the first of three Holland looks I've got for you this week. I think this hairstyle really works for her—it's the supermodel swoop on top, but in a ponytail version. Also, I kinda love how her wine-coloured lipstick matches her outfit, which also matches her hair. I guess that means I like matchy-matchy again!
Holland is wearing: Lip Liner in Sizzle • Lipstick in Jet Rouge • Highlighter (dabbed in the centre of the lips)
Same colour outfit, but the hair and makeup here are much more sleek and grown-up. Holland pulls off these gelled roots and dry ends surprisingly well, and I like the freshness of the understated peachy makeup, with no harsh eyeliner.
Holland is wearing: Eyeshadow in 508 Nude Pink
Last Holland look, and I love the eyes—but the bump in her hair, not so much. If the hair was sleeker with a side part, it would make this blue eyeliner even more amazing. I like that it's in the waterlines below, with a thicker upper line that joins very precisely at each outer corner. Super-pretty with her luminous skin and soft pink lips!

Imogen Poots
New beauty crush alert! I've had my eye on Imogen lately, and just love her Boho-meets-English rose beauty look. Her skin and eyes are a makeup artist's dream, framed by full, natural brows and wavy, flyaway hair. Her lips and cheeks truly look naturally pink, instead of painted. She doesn't need those false lashes!
Lake Bell
This is a really good week, because I also can't recall ever seeing Lake looking this gorgeous. Sure, it's the usual vintage waves and red lips—but she's totally wearing them instead of vice-versa. I especially like the stained texture of her red lips, and her subtle highlights. Also great to see a normal, non-Botoxed face!
Chrissy Teigen
Nevermind her makeup, look at her hair. Chrissy continues to have one of the best manes of long, wavy, beachy Sombré in the business. Now, I want to know why her eyebrows are so ashy. And honestly, she doesn't need anywhere close to this much makeup—she's a model, after all!
Bella Thorne
We get a new picture of Bella pretty much every week, but I have to say—her hair looks particularly lovely here. The classic bouncy blowout will never die! Makeup is her usual brown around the eyes with matte lips, and I don't mind it at all.
Demi Lovato
Demi always perplexes me, because I never like makeup this heavy—except when it's on her. I mean, I'm sure she would look even nicer with less, but I can't hate this! The (faux?) freckles help counter the heaviness of the foundation, and I like the matte lips, if it weren't for the trace of lip liner. Brows are too precise and the lashes too obvious, but overall, with the bobbed hair, it all kind of works.
Connie Britton
How can you not love Connie? The woman does not age, maybe because she sticks with her tried-and-true beauty formula (tons of waves and fresh, pretty makeup). The sheer, sparkly purple shadow is fun with the pink cheeks and lips, and against her warm skin and strawberry hair, it gives subtle pop.
Zendaya
So this is what Zendaya looks like without (much) makeup! I always like seeing stars off the red carpet and more like normal people. The braided bun is adorbs, and her skin really is flawless.
Jennifer Aniston
Maybe it's just me, but I think I detect a bit of a newlywed glow? Like Connie, Jen kept to her go-to beauty look; hers is blown-out hair, glowy sun-kissed skin and smudgy definition around the eyes. The tightlining works so well for Jen, as I think heavy shadow would be too much on her.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa tried out a marsala palette here, and I really, really like it. I appreciate that she didn't try over-lining her upper lip (as is the trend right now), and that the reddish hue is echoed on her eyelids, too. Her hair looks fantastic with the centre parted updo. She should wear it like this more often!
Mena Suvari
Mena is definitely one of those people who can wear any hair colour; we know her best as a blonde, but this cool-toned brunette is equally great on her. I'm not crazy about the smoky eyes or how her brows were filled in—both seem a bit dated—but the stained lips are nice, and she has gorgeous skin.
Peyton List
Speaking of gorgeous skin, check out Peyton's. That little gleam on her cheek is probably natural, not faked with illuminator like the rest of us have to do. Her makeup is subtler than usual, but still interesting: graphic black liner on top of a bright, orangey-gold metallic shadow, with peach blush and lip gloss. I'd like to see her hair less brassy, but it still works.
America Ferrera
I love America's freckles so much, plus the peachy blush, sheer pink balm and strong brows. I'm not opposed to false lashes for this eye shape, actually, but these ones are overkill. And maybe could do a nice blunt shape for her ends.
Eiza González
So close, Eiza! She looks sexy as hell in the first pic, with a beautiful mane of mid-brown hair. But when you zoom in, a few issues. First, the foundation is going way too ashy. Second, I don't think she needs to emphasize so many features. We've got brows, eyes and lips—maybe choose two out of the three?
Katherine Heigl
We haven't seen Katherine in a million years (okay, not since the Globes), and I think this is an improvement! Sure, she looks like she might've had a few too many visits to the Botox doctor and the tanning salon, but her skin looks glowy and the makeup is nice and subtle. Her hair, though—is it just me or is it slightly green now?
