The annual Billboard Music Awards took place this week, honouring the musicians behind the most popular songs of the year. Meanwhile, on the red carpet, the beauty was all about a bold statement.

Olivia looks so good in this voluminous wavy lob with a deep side part. I also really like the pinky-burgundy tones under her eyes, that match her lipstick, blush and the flowers on her dress. The lip liner along her bottom lip is supposed to create the illusion of fuller lips, and it does—but I don't get why she needs it. Her lips are already plump from injections!
Hailee's smoky eyes are impeccably blended. They're framed by au naturel brows and long lashes. (Notice how her lower lashes aren't emphasized at all.) Lips are nude to balance things out, with her hair neatly gelled off the face. After so much dewiness, the matte skin feels refreshing.
I love the luminosity of Rita's silvery shadow to highlight the inner corners of her eyes. Like Hailee, she went with long lashes, nude lips and an off-the-face hairstyle—I like this softness on her! I'm also pleased with the lash texture. Not quite sure what's going on with the hairstyle; is it a faux bob or tucked into her collar?
Rita is wearing: Primer • Foundation • Concealer in Light • Contour and highlighter in Coral Glow • Bronzer in Sun Bronze • Brow powder • Brow gel in Clear • Eyeshadow in Keep Calm & Wear Gold • Eyeshadow in Grunge Glamour • Eyeshadow in Witness White • Eyeliner in Black • Mascara in Very Black • Lip liner in Innocent • Lipstick in Latte To Go
Vanessa's flippy bob is so cute. I've always loved bobs and lobs on her, and she looks super-adorable with this length. I'm a fan of the makeup concept, too. The pink eyeshadow is on trend but not heavy, with lovely soft lashes and shiny nude lips.
I like the freshness of Halsey's glossy lips and pink eyeshadow. As usual, her sprinkling of freckles makes everything cuter and more natural-looking. The false lashes could be a little better, but I think they generally work in this instance. She actually looks really good with a shaved head!
Kate surprised us with metallic blue and gold eyeliners along her upper lash lines, and a candy pink lip gloss. What a great change from her usual muddy browns! I love the volume in her ponytail as well.
Lea's top knot is cute and playful. And her brows look good here as well. But I never like it when she goes so heavy on the lashes; this pair is too overpowering. Also, the contour powder is doing her skin texture no favours.
