Teen Choice Awards 2018 beauty looks

Young Hollywood stepped out for the Teen Choice Awards last night, and there was a distinct beauty vibe on the red carpet. Skin was glowing, lips were nude... and the more colourful the eye makeup, the better!

Here are the must-see looks:

Lucy Hale

What I like: Lucy's über-shiny bob, green smoky eyes and full, brushed-up brows. Notice the Ombré effect on her lower lip to make it look fuller (although I suspect she may have fillers as well!). What I'd change: Her foundation's a little heavy in the mid-face.

Katherine Langford

What I like: Katherine's creative star appliqués at the outer edges of her eyes. With shades of silver and sheer purple on her lids, and pink blush, the effect is so pretty and ethereal. (It helps that her skin is flawless!) What I'd change: Nothing.

Anna Kendrick

What I like: Anna's smooth, straight hair with clean, minimal makeup—just subtle cat eyes and a bronzey lip gloss. What I'd change: I feel like this needs a little something extra, to take it to the next level. Maybe a dewy highlight on her cheeks?

Sabrina Carpenter

What I like: Sabrina's new hair cut and colour. It's a few inches shorter and a few shades lighter than it was here, and it's so much more polished now! I also love the lighter touch on the makeup, with sheer shimmery pinks. What I'd change: I'm not crazy about the lashes, and the overdrawn lip liner is not working.

Sabrina is wearing: Moisturizer • Eye gel • Powder in Lucid (as eyeshadow and blush) • Powder in Fever Dream (as eyeshadow, blush and highlighter) • Lipstick in Send Nudes • Lip gloss in Hi-Fi

Storm Reid

What I like: Storm's '80s-inspired curls and hoop earrings, with fun purple cat eyes and gleaming lids. With so much going on, she wisely toned it down on her cheeks and lips. What I'd change: Nothing.

Lili Reinhart

What I like: Lili's purple mascara at the outer corners of her eyes. (Don't you want to wear coloured mascara now?!) The gold shadow tones match her hair, and her skin is super-glowy. What I'd change: I think the hairstyle could be better... flatter on top, or even all slicked back?

Olivia Holt

What I like: Olivia's matchy-matchy forest green eyeliner and sequinned dress. I'm very into her messy side-swept updo. What I'd change: The makeup just needs to be less "done." So I'd skip the copper eyeshadow and false lashes, and blur the lip edges.

Joey King

What I like: Joey's elegant top knot, perfect brows and subtly smoky eyes. The foundation is so sheer that we can see her freckles. What I'd change: Nothing.

Camila Mendes

What I like: Camila's luminous skin and light eye makeup—long lashes on the top, metallic liner across the bottom. What I'd change: I'd let her brows grow in some more, so they're not so precise... it's too much with the extreme arch!

Noah Cyrus

What I like: Noah's baby-pink lipstick, which has a great pressed-on texture. (I think injections may have obliterated her Cupid's bow, though!) I always like seeing the same colour echoed on the lids. What I'd change: The false lashes are too curly, and her brow tail is obviously drawn on.

Chloë Moretz

What I like: Chloë's matte brick lipstick, matching eyeshadow and textured, side-swept lob. What I'd change: It just looks so dry and powdery (and I hate to say it, aging). If her skin was fresher, it would make a huge difference. She's only 21!

Nina Dobrev

What I like: Nina's classic red lips, defined lashes and straight brows. What I'd change: I don't love the overly dewy, makeuppy skin finish. And did she dye her hair darker? It was softer here!

Katherine McNamara

What I like: Katherine's teal cat eyes, rosy nude lip gloss and subtly highlighted cheeks. What I'd change: The problem is her hair colour. Surely there's a more flattering strawberry blonde for her. This shade actually makes her skin look grey!
