When you think of Walmart, you probably think about its vast array of homewares, appliances, clothing, toys or groceries.
But makeup and skincare? Maybe not.
That's why you NEED to check out what I found in the beauty department!
While it has long been a destination for drugstore essentials, Walmart is now stocking green beauty, Korean and Japanese skincare, and everything in between.
I was surprised to discover some of my all-time favourite brands, such as COSRX, Derma E and RMS Beauty, along with newer loves like Pyunkang Yul. I even spotted cult and hard-to-find products like squalane oil, essences, sheet masks and silicone-free moisturizers!
So, if you're like me and into clean ingredients, lightweight textures, and products that truly WORK—rest assured that there are plenty of amazing options.
And the best part? Everything is at Walmart's everyday low prices.
Read on for my top Walmart beauty buys!
Bioderma Sensibio H2O
The OG micellar water, Bioderma Sensibio H2O, is a cult classic for a reason. I swear by it for removing any type of makeup—without irritating sensitive skin or eyes—and it can even replace your regular cleanser. This has been one of my staples for the past decade!
Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser
If you're looking for a great face wash for normal-to-oily skin, Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser should be on your list. Free of sulfates and artificial fragrance, it has an aloe vera base and is spiked with charcoal powder (so it's actually black!). It's one of my top picks for a gentle yet thorough cleanse.
L'Oréal Paris Revitalift 1.5 % Pure Hyaluronic Acid
Ever since L'Oréal Paris Revitalift 1.5 % Pure Hyaluronic Acid launched earlier this year, it's been flying off the shelves—in fact, one is sold in the US every 60 seconds! This is a lightweight hydrating serum featuring a 1.5 percent concentration of both high- and low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid. And it's fragrance-free and silicone-free.
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a beloved K-beauty product I'd recommend for ALL skin. It contains a whopping 96 percent snail mucin (a.k.a. snail goo) for intense hydration without any heaviness. It is also said to help with pigmentation, large pores and acne! You can wear this underneath or instead of moisturizer.
Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream
I just discovered Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream a few months ago, and I love that it is lightweight, silicone-free and fragrance-free. Created by the renowned Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic in Seoul, Korea, this moisturizer is especially suitable for sensitive, acne-prone and oily skin. It absorbs fast (so the finish is more matte than dewy), and leaves skin feeling plump and hydrated.
Derma E Firming DMAE Moisturizer
Another moisturizer to try is Derma E Firming DMAE Moisturizer. DMAE or dimethylethanolamine is a naturally occurring compound that has been shown to help with skin firming and tightening. I've been impressed with ALL the creams I've tried from this natural brand; this one is fragrance-free and low in silicone.
Peter Thomas Roth Oilless Oil 100% Purified Squalane
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of squalane oil, such as Peter Thomas Roth Oilless Oil 100% Purified Squalane. Derived from sugarcane, it is a super stable, thin and lightweight oil (so it should be non-comedogenic for most skin). I like to call it "the oil for people who hate oils" because it sinks in so fast and never feels greasy!
RMS Beauty Raw Coconut Cream
Coconut is another one of my favourite oils, and RMS Beauty Raw Coconut Cream is my go-to. Not only can you use this on your face, but it also works as a makeup remover, body moisturizer, lash conditioner, frizz tamer and sunburn soother (to name a few uses). By the way, I'm acne-prone and this has never broken me out, perhaps because it is of such high quality.
Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream
First launched in 1991 (!), Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream has been a cult hit for as long as I can remember. But I wouldn't describe it as a cream—it has more of a balm texture, and is made of olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis. Like coconut oil, it is highly multi-purpose; my favourite way to use it is as a dewy highlighter and eye gloss.
Bare Republic Mineral Sport Sunscreen Stick SPF 50
Bare Republic Mineral Sport Sunscreen Stick SPF 50 is ideal if you're on the go. Not only does it come in a handy stick format, but as a mineral sunscreen, it contains 20 percent zinc oxide for the highest level of UVA and UVB protection. It's also silicone-free and gives you 80 minutes of water resistance.
COOLA Tinted Mineral Liplux SPF 30
There's also mineral SPF for your lips! COOLA Tinted Mineral Liplux SPF 30 offers both sun protection and colour in one. If you love tinted lip balms, you'll appreciate the sheer finish—and you can even use it on your cheeks! I would describe this shade, Bonfire, as a flattering copper bronze.
Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge
The Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge needs little introduction—you're surely familiar with its unique shape! This sponge is many a makeup artist's secret for creating a flawless finish with foundations and other complexion products. It does take a little extra time, but you'll use less product and your skin will look way more natural.
RMS Beauty Buriti Bronzer
I always struggled with bronzers looking too dark, orange or powdery... until I tried RMS Beauty Buriti Bronzer. It gives you the most natural sun-kissed colour, and because the texture is a cream, it really melts into your skin (instead of sitting on top). The fact that it's made with all-natural ingredients is just a bonus!
NYX Doll Eye Waterproof Mascara
If you hate raccoon eyes (and who doesn't?), NYX Doll Eye Waterproof Mascara is for you. This is one of the only tubing formulas on the market, which means it will last all day without smudging or smearing. But it's not hard to remove like regular waterproof mascara, and comes off easily with water.
Dr. Althea Herb Therapy Velvet Mask
How cute is the packaging of the Dr. Althea Herb Therapy Velvet Mask? Inside are 10 microfiber sheet masks soaked in a blend of ingredients that includes glycerin, chamomile and hyaluronic acid. Pop one on before a special event or any time you need extra hydration.
Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water
In the summertime, I'm always misting with thermal water sprays like Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water. They're great for cooling down, refreshing your skin, calming inflammation, setting makeup and even removing excess oil. (Just don't over-mist if you have dry skin.)
WellPath Renew Multi-Collagen Protein Powder
If there's one beauty supplement I recommend, it's collagen peptides. I've been taking them for a few years now, and there's actually proof that they help with hydration and skin collagen density (yes, really!). WellPath Renew Multi-Collagen Protein Powder gives you five different types of peptides and dissolves easily in your smoothie or coffee.
