Q: I used to have medium brown hair, and now it's grey and silver with brown streaks. I am looking for a hair colour that will just colour the brown and not the grey/silver. I think black would look better than brown. Can you help me? — Betty

I understand you're trying to grow your hair to be more on the natural side, more salt and pepper.

Your idea is the best one. Do lowlights in black.

Make them very thin, so they can camouflage the brown and scatter the leftover brown ends.

After you go through this process, you could add some very fine pieces of light blonde in between the silver, just to add some flair if you wish.
