Q: I have had the same blah hair colour and style for three years. Lately, I feel badly in need of a change. I am trying to grow my hair out longer and would like a colour and style that compliments my yellow skin tone and angular face shape.
I have very fine hair that is oily at the scalp and tends to be easily weighed down. My hair is a light neutral brown colour and has no dye in it.
I am really excited to hear what you have to say about my hair and would greatly appreciate any advice you can offer! — Crystal
A: Crystal, thank you for submitting your inquiry. You are not alone with these issues and the truth is you need to work with what you have.
What you have is a beautiful strong face and fine hair. So to balance out your style I would suggest a really strong part with the ends curled.

My suggestion would be to cut the ends so they are thicker, and then grow the length. I would get yourself a curling wand to add the curl.
Try a dry shampoo on your roots to deal with oils right after you shampoo. This way, it will be in place as the oils appear.
Keep your hands out of your hair as much as possible, as this will only drag down your hair.
I love your strong jaw and would enhance it by making your hair a little darker. Only a shade or two—you want to keep a bit of natural depth so your hair will still have dimension.
