Dermstore Anniversary Sale Picks
Verso Skincare: 20% Off
You've probably seen Verso in many an Instagram shelfie, but there's more to this brand than just chic packaging. Their Super Facial Serum is a potent but non-irritating retinoid for dry and sensitive skin types. It features a next-gen retinoic acid ester, retinyl retinoate, in a concentration that is equivalent to 0.8% retinol.
ClarityRx: 25% Off
If you believe "less is more," the minimalistic formulas from ClarityRx will be right up your alley. Their Daily Dose of Water Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum is one of the best hydrating serums I've ever used, and has only four ingredients.
Indie Lee: 20% Off
It's no secret that Indie Lee is one of my all-time favourite clean beauty brands. There are so many products I love, but you can't go wrong with their bestseller, the CoQ-10 Toner. It's a cross between a face mist and a hydrating toner, and is infused with aloe and hyaluronic acid.
Colorescience: 25% Off
Colorescience is the OG powder sunscreen brand, so they've got some of the best products for topping up your sun protection throughout the day. I recommend the new Sunforgettable Total Protection Sheer Matte Sunscreen Brush SPF 30. It's high in zinc, with a translucent matte finish that is especially suitable for oily skin.
Sunday Riley: 20% Off
Everyone goes crazy for Good Genes from Sunday Riley, but my pick is actually the C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum. It features a high 15% concentration of THD ascorbate, a vitamin C derivative that is more stable than L-ascorbic acid and also highly penetrative. It's been shown to help with brightening, fading dark spots and boosting collagen.
The Route: 25% Off
The Route is a new brand that's all about luxe medical-grade skincare. Their star product is The Golden Rule Next Generation Retinoid, which features HPR (also known as granactive retinoid, a retinoic acid ester) in a soothing, hydrating base. Although they don't disclose the exact concentration, HPR formulas are a great option if you want to minimize or avoid irritation.
Joanna Vargas: 20% Off
I've been impressed with every product that I've tried from celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas, including this unique Exfoliating Mask. It's both a mask and a gentle scrub, and is chock-full of brightening, hydrating and detoxifying ingredients—like kaolin clay, sugarcane, bilberry, pineapple enzymes and hyaluronic acid.
Arcona: 25% Off
Believe it or not, Arcona has been around since 1989 and had a "science-meets-nature" approach long before it became trendy. They also happen to make one of the only retinaldehyde serums on the market, the Advanced "A" Serum. Retinaldehyde is stronger than retinol but less irritating, and can treat both signs of aging and acne.
REN Clean Skincare: 20% Off
Without a doubt, my must-have product from REN Clean Skincare is the Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30, which I've been reaching for all summer long. This is a zinc oxide-based sunscreen that feels incredibly light on the skin and is mattifying without making your skin feel dry. If you have combo or oily skin and find most SPFs too dewy, you need to try it.
Kevyn Aucoin: 25% Off
Kevyn Aucoin has so much gorgeous makeup to lust after, but I always buy one specific product over and over again. The Volume Mascara is my Holy Grail because it's a tubing formula that somehow manages to give me volume without ever smearing or smudging. Nothing else compares!
First Aid Beauty: 20% Off
I love the First Aid Beauty line because it's not only clean, but also safe for sensitive skin. If I had to pick just one product, it would definitely be their Face Cleanser. It's the rare cleanser that is suitable for all skin types, with a creamy consistency that rinses away without residue.
Rita Hazan: 25% Off
Thanks to lockdown life, I've been through my share of temporary root touch-up products—and I'm convinced that Rita Hazan's are the best. Specifically, I love thr Root Concealer Touch-Up Stick, which is an easy-to-use crayon with a long-lasting, waxy consistency. I use Dark Blonde and it's perfect for warming up my natural ash tone (as well as any stray grey hairs!).
ZIIP: 20% Off
ZIIP is on the cutting edge of skincare with its hand-held microcurrent and nanocurrent devices, which let you perform your own electrical facials from the comfort of home. The GX (the original) emits painless currents that tighten facial muscles and treat everything from dullness to breakouts. It's an investment, but if you can commit to regular treatments, you will see results.
RevitaLash: 25% Off
I'm often asked about lash serums from companies like RevitaLash. I've tried plenty of them over the years, including this Advanced Eyelash Conditioner, and in my experience, they really do work! You do need to be consistent with it, and it takes longer than Latisse, but I've noticed a difference in the length and health of my lashes.
Osmosis Beauty: 20% Off
I discovered Osmosis Beauty last year when I was looking for a strong retinaldehyde serum—and I found it with Renew Advanced Retinal Serum. It has 0.15% of the active ingredient, along with niacinamide, in a clean and silicone-free formulation. If you're looking for a step up from retinol, this would be an excellent treatment to try next.
Boscia: 25% Off
Boscia was one of the first brands I fell in love with when I started getting into cleaner products more than a decade ago. Their Purifying Cleansing Gel was around back then, and it still holds up as one of the best gel cleansers I've tried. It's gentle, sulfate-free and non-drying.
RMS Beauty: 20% Off
As one of RMS Beauty's biggest fans, I buy practically every new launch—including the new Tinted Daily Lip Balm. I consider myself a bit of a tinted lip balm connoisseur, and this is truly one of the best. It's hydrating but not goopy, with a sheer semi-matte finish and just the right amount of colour payoff.
PCA Skin: 25% Off
PCA Skin is one of the professional lines that the store carries, and their Hydrating Serum is one of the most popular products. I like this serum because rather than just hyaluronic acid or glycerin, you're getting an array of humectants (including aloe, sodium PCA and provitamin B5) as well as amino acids and antioxidants.
Doctor Rogers RESTORE: 20% Off
Doctor Rogers RESTORE is unique amongst clean beauty brands because its dermatologist creator (Dr. Heather Rogers) ensures that everything is hypoallergenic and non-irritating. The Face Lotion is a lightweight moisturizer with squalane, shea butter, niacinamide and Centella Asiatica extract, and no fragrance or silicones.
Briogeo: 25% Off
Briogeo is frequently in my haircare rotation because of their sulfate-free and silicone-free formulas. While they have options for all hair types, I think the Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask is something virtually everyone could use. It's lightweight but super nourishing, and won't weigh your hair down.
