Grammys 2018: The Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks on the Red Carpet
So far this awards season, we've seen the who's who of Hollywood dressed to the nines at the Globes, Critics' Choice and the SAGs.
Now, it's time for a palette cleanse!
At Sunday night's Grammys, both the guest list and the styling were totally different. The biggest stars in music brought more casual, experimental beauty looks... and showed off some seriously incredible skin.
Take a look at the night's best hair and makeup:
Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee's mermaid eyes are mesmerizing. Like I always say, she can wear a bold, bright eyeshadow like nobody else! Notice how it's just the one shade of teal, and it's applied all the way around, with excellent diffusing at the edges. Everything else is soft, sun-kissed and beachy, including her hair.
Bebe Rexha
Bebe's platinum blonde bob in a deep side part really suits her—even if the roots are a bit off. I also like the purple eyeshadow, to match her earrings, framed by dark liner and brows.
Katie Holmes
Katie wore her short hair in 1930s-inspired Marcel waves. Her skin looks super-glowy, and I think the lashes are pretty good. As for the multi-coloured eyeshadow, I like the pink, but I don't think that greenish-gold is quite working.
Anna Kendrick
Anna stayed in her neutral comfort zone with brown and silver smoky eyes. See how she gets that winged effect, but with shadow instead of liner (so it's not as harsh)? We've all got to start trying this! I appreciate that she kept her lashes—and lips!—natural-looking.
Anna is wearing: Moisturizer • Primer • Foundation • Blush in Euphoric Fusion • Powder in Translucent • Powder in Ethereal Light • Eyeshadow in Cocoa Mirage • Eyeshadow in Silver • Eyeliner • Mascara in Black • False lashes • Brow pencil in Oak Brown • Brow mascara in Brown • Lip liner in Eden • Lipstick in Nude Kate
Miley Cyrus
Miley looks... normal! You might even call this "boring," compared to her experimental phase circa 2015. But I find it really delicate and pretty, with pink lips, defined upper lashes and what looks like a sheer lilac eyeshadow.
Kesha
Kesha matched her lips to her cheeks with a pretty pink stain. It's so good with her freckles! She also has a fantastic set of brows, and I'm glad she kept them darker than her blonde. I'm just not crazy about the bottom false lashes, and I really want to cut her hair to just below the collarbones.
Kesha is wearing: Foundation in 150 • Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi • Blush in At Last • Illuminator in Polka Dots & Moonbeams • Eyeshadow • Brow pencil in Dark Brown
Camila Cabello
Camila's skin looks fresh, healthy and radiant. The makeup is really simple as per usual; just playing up the lashes/lash lines and adding sheer tawny tones to the lips and cheeks. But is it just me, or is there something a bit "prom" about this look?!
Camila is wearing: Moisturizer • Foundation • Highlighter in Sunkissed (as bronzer) • Highlighter in Moonlight • Highlighter in Sunlight (as eyeshadow) • Lip liner in Au Naturale • Lipstick in Glossy Fawn
Heidi Klum
Heidi wore long, Boho waves, and I always enjoy the juxtaposition of a casual, semi-messy hairstyle with a fancy dress. The neutral-toned makeup was generally the right idea. But here's another pair of bottom false lashes, and her lipstick is too light for the lip liner.
Heidi is wearing: Lipstick in Nude Kate
Lady Gaga
Is it just me or does Lady Gaga look different here, like she had a few injections done? Anyway, the makeup is fairly conventional (for her!), with graphic black liner, pale pink lipstick and a sprinkling of glitter. I really like her hair back in this long braid.
Lady Gaga is wearing: Foundation in Y270 • Blush in 504 Kink & Kisses • Highlighter in 50 Dew You? • Eyeshadow in Glambition (shimmery peach shade) • Eyeshadow in Edgitorial (shimmery black shade) • Loose glitter • Eyeliner in Blacquer 42 • Liquid liner in Blacquer • Mascara in Noir • Lip liner in Prim(rose) 304 • Lipstick in Cream & Sugar • Mousse • Gel
