How to Do Lady Gaga’s Skincare Routine
Lady Gaga is as well-known for her bold, dramatic makeup looks as she is for her music. But underneath all that glam, you might be surprised to discover that her complexion is actually flawless.
In fact, her longtime makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, says that the 35-year-old “has the most incredible skin in the business.”[1] (And she would know, having also worked with clients like Gigi Hadid, Kate Bosworth and Dakota Johnson.)
“[The] first step to good makeup is skincare,” Lady Gaga recently explained on Instagram.[2] “I believe almost all skin problems are caused by disruption of skin barrier and microbiome. My trick is to use solutions that balance my skin by interrupting any inflammation caused by free radicals or products. So... I use products I develop... exclusively for me.”

Wait—was that a hint? It sounds like her two-year-old makeup line, Haus Laboratories, may soon expand into skincare. After all, the initial trademark application included everything from facial cleansers to deodorant.
Until that happens, here’s what we know about her routine, thanks to both Tanno and Lady Gaga herself.

Joomee Song: “I love this microcurrent facial. There are actually two attachments—one goes on the aesthetician, and then one goes on you. The electricity flows through both of our bodies at the same time to lift the muscles. It’s also a stress reliever, which for me means less pain because my pain is neuropathic.”
