Editor's Pick: Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick, the Bright, Matte Lip Crayon of Your Dreams

Bold lip lovers, listen up.
Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop

If you're looking to make a new lipstick purchase for fall, then the new Kiss Pop Lip Color Sticks from Marc Jacobs should definitely be on your radar. Hands down, they were the fall lip launch I was MOST excited to tell you about.

First of all, there's the Marc Jacobs factor. Imagine pulling one of these out of your handbag. The packaging is so fun and chic!

Inside are the most amazing lipsticks in easy-to-swipe crayon form.

You get high pigment colour, a very on-trend matte finish and a creamy, balmy texture, thanks to the honey-infused formula. They're also long-wearing, and last for hours without drying out your lips.

So if you love your brights, and have been searching for a good matte lippie, then these will be right up your alley!

There are nine shades in the range, and I was sent four to test-drive:

Here's a look at each shade.

Pow! 600

Pow! 600 is a peony pink. I really liked it with my colouring, although I'd definitely wear it with a bolder eye, as it washes out fair skin a bit if you're just pairing it with mascara. It was the most unforgiving of the four colours in terms of the texture—although it's not drying, most light matte colours will accentuate any dryness or flakiness on your lips. So you may want to blend it a bit with a fingertip to smooth out any creases. I think it's a really cool colour if you're going for that '60s, pale lip look!

Wham 604

Wham 604 is a coral rose. This was my favourite colour of the bunch, as it's pretty unique—in between coral and hot pink, and quite bright as well. I think it would suit any skin tone, and it really wakes up your whole complexion. This and all the brighter colours are much more forgiving than Pow! 600 on a dry lip texture.

 Pop-Arazzi 606

Pop-Arazzi 606 is an electric rose. And it's my other favourite shade in this line, because I can always use another hot pink. This one is probably even better with my complexion than Wham 604, although perhaps not quite as unique. But still really bright and fun!

Crush 610

Crush 610 is a tangerine red. I would say it's more on the tangerine side than the red side, and for that reason I'm not quite as comfortable with it compared to the other, pinkier shades. It definitely makes a statement—and that statement is "I'm coming right at you with an orange mouth." I think it's a great colour, you just need to be in the right frame of mind (read: very confident!) to rock this one.
