How to Do Padma Lakshmi’s Skincare Routine

Her age-defying beauty secrets.

Padma Lakshmi is 48 years old. I repeat: 48 years old!

With her glowing, lineless skin, it's hard to believe that the Top Shelf host, cookbook author and former model is pushing 50.

She says her diet, not skincare, is responsible for her youthful good looks. "I think the reason people don't believe I am the age that I am is because I always ate well in my 20s," she told People. "What you eat shows up on your skin, on your hair, on your nails [and] on the whites of your eyes. And people don't realize that!"

Maybe that's why she can get away with not washing her face before bed (gasp!). "I have no beauty routines," Padma revealed to The New Potato. "I'm lucky if I manage to wash my makeup off at night!"

In the mornings, she avoids "big-brand skincare" and mostly sticks to products created by her two trusted facialists.

Padma’s Nighttime Skincare Routine

1. Cleanser:

"I should probably wash my makeup off at night. I just don't wash my face. Often, I'll go to the gym the next morning with the same mascara, eyeliner that I had on the night before. It's a little gross."
