I don’t know about you, but I’m never not waiting for a Sephora Savings Event. They only happen twice a year, when virtually everything in the store is on sale—so it’s the best time to save on all the products on your wish list.
And that time is now, my friends, because the annual Spring Savings Event has just begun. As always, the deals and shopping dates vary depending on your level in the rewards program:
- Rouge: Get 20% off from April 1-11.
- VIB: Get 15% off from April 5-11.
- Insider: Get 10% off from April 7-11. (Not a member yet? Sign up here—it’s free!)
At checkout, all you need to do is enter the promo code SAVESPRING, which is good for unlimited use. (All tiers also get 30% off Sephora Collection products from April 1-11, no promo code required.)
So, which skincare products are worth adding to your cart? I’ve got a list of my top picks below, including both my tried-and-true favourites as well as exciting new launches from Glow Recipe, Youth To The People, Summer Fridays and more.
Sephora Spring Sale Picks
Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Serum
Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Serum is the new launch that I’m most excited about. It’s a leave-on clarifying serum with 2% salicylic acid, 1% mandelic acid and 0.5% succinic acid, all in a light creamy base. So it’s going to exfoliate your skin, balance oil and unclog pores, while also hydrating and soothing. Try this if you’re looking for an alternative to acid toners!
Shani Darden Glow & Repair Duo
With the Shani Darden Glow & Repair Duo, you’re getting a full-size bottle of Retinol Reform, one of my all-time favourite retinoids. I got amazing results (like clearer, brighter skin) from this cult formula, which I reviewed here. You also get a full-size bottle of the new Lactic Acid Exfoliating Serum, which just launched in January, and contains an impressive 9% lactic acid.
Youth To The People Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum
If you’re looking for something a little stronger than retinol, look no further than the Youth To The People Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum. This one just launched last month, and it’s one of the only retinaldehyde treatments on the market. Retinaldehyde (retinal) is more powerful than retinol because it converts to active vitamin A in just one step, but still remains gentle. It’s good for both the signs of aging as well as acne!
Herbivore Skin in the Clouds Set
The new Herbivore Skin in the Clouds Set is a great way to try out some of the best products from this clean skincare brand, all in mini sizes. I’m a huge fan of the Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser, which has a lovely cream-gel texture and is gentle but effective. The Cloud Jelly Plumping Hydration Serum is a great alternative to hyaluronic acid serums, as it hydrates with Tremella mushroom, which is even better at holding onto moisture. You also get a mini jar of Pink Cloud Soft Moisture Cream, which was recently reformulated and includes the mushroom extract as well.
Summer Fridays Dream Oasis Deep Hydration Serum
Summer Fridays Dream Oasis Deep Hydration Serum just launched in March, and unlike most serums of its kind, it has a gel-cream texture. That’s because it has lightweight emollients (like squalane) to lock in the moisture from the usual humectants (like glycerin, aloe and hyaluronic acid). If you find that most hydrating serums aren’t moisturizing enough for you, give this a go.
Farmacy 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum
L-ascorbic acid is the “gold standard” form of vitamin C for brightening, firming and protecting from free radicals. But our product options used to be limited. That’s starting to change, and Farmacy 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum is the newest formula to land on the market. This has 10% of the active, plus azelaic and ferulic acids to enhance performance and stability. And you don’t need to worry about it oxidizing, because this simple formulation is also water-free!
When the Topicals Duo first landed last year, it kept selling out, so you’ll want to act fast here! This pair of full-sized products includes Faded, which is a discolouration-fading serum for dark spots, post-acne marks and uneven tone. Niacinamide, azelaic acid and kojic acid are just a few of its discolouration-fighting ingredients! You also get Like Butter, which is a hydrating mask for dry and sensitive skin. It, too, is loaded with great ingredients, such as niacinamide, ceramides, squalane and colloidal oatmeal.
Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25
Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 had me at the words “skin-improving.” This new launch (it came out last month) is a medium-coverage foundation infused with niacinamide, caffeine, peptides, hyaluronic acid and provitamin B5. It also gives a little sun protection with 7.5% zinc oxide, comes in 36 shades, and is silicone-free.
Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster
I’ve been writing a lot about niacinamide lately, and I think it’s probably the most multi-purpose and universally beneficial ingredient. I’m always recommending Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster as one of the best formulas because it has super-light, watery texture and layers beautifully underneath other products. If you’ve found other serums were too sticky or caused pilling, I think you’ll like this one.
Augustinus Bader The Cream
If the original price point held you back from trying it, you’ll be happy to know that Augustinus Bader The Cream now comes in a more affordable mini version. I consider this to be one of the best lightweight moisturizers for normal to oily skin. Not only is it fragrance-free and silicone-free, it also has ceramides, fatty acids, and the brand’s signature TFC8 complex of vitamins and amino acids.
Tatcha The Serum Stick
I swear, Tatcha The Serum Stick is one of the most underrated products. More people need to know about this! It’s a balmy, moisturizing stick made out of 80% squalane oil, which is super-healing and non comedogenic for most skin. You can swipe this on anywhere for a quick moisture boost—I especially love to use it around my nose and eyes.
INNBeauty Project Down to Tone Resurfacing Acid Toner
Rumour has it that INNBeauty Project Down to Tone Resurfacing Acid Toner is a dupe for a certain French exfoliating toner with a cult following. (You know the one I’m talking about!) This clean formulation includes six different acids (lactic, salicylic, phytic, malic, gluconolactone and citric) plus niacinamide, vinegar and bilberry extract—all for a fraction of the price.
REN Clean Skincare Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30
REN Clean Skincare Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30 is still my favourite sunscreen that Sephora carries! I’ve been using this one ever since it came out in 2019. Here’s what I love about it—it gives incredible protection with 22% zinc oxide, but it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, and it dries down semi-matte.
Nécessaire The Body Ritual
If your bodycare routine could use an upgrade, I recommend Nécessaire The Body Ritual. This is a four-piece, travel-sized set that includes The Body Wash and The Body Exfoliator in a refreshing eucalyptus scent, plus The Body Serum and The Body Lotion, which are fragrance-free. I love everything I’ve tried from this brand, and the ingredients are top notch.
Deborah Lippmann Get Off Callus Softener Intensive Treatment
Sandal season is fast approaching, and Deborah Lippmann Get Off Callus Softener Intensive Treatment is my secret weapon for getting soft, smooth feet at home. If you’re like me and deal with calluses and dry heels, you need to try it—you just spray it on, wait five minutes, and then buff off the dead skin with a foot file. This is an excellent alternative to acid foot peels, as the results are instant (and you won’t be shedding for a week!).
