Teen Choice Awards 2017: The Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks on the Red Carpet
The annual Teen Choice Awards, or TCAs, always bring a fresh dose of fun to round out the summer! This year, it was all about Lucy Hale's berry eyeshadow, Zendaya's '70s-inspired curls and Vanessa Hudgens' shimmery pink lipstick.
These were the best beauty moments of the night:
Lucy Hale
The pink eyeshadow trend is here to stay—and Lucy's 360-degree application of berry shadow is actually a lipstick! Her dewy skin, thick brows and slicked-back bob balance out the bold eyes out beautifully. Let's take one more moment to appreciate her skin... it's insanely flawless!
Lucy is wearing: Foundation • Lipstick in Supurb Wine (as eyeshadow) • Blush
Zendaya
Zendaya wore her curls in a rounded shape—with bangs! I'm so happy this hairstyle is making a comeback. Her eyeshadow is a lovely diffused rusty shade that looks so interesting with the pinky coral lipstick. She DIY'd this makeup and I think she's getting better at it (i.e. showing more restraint!).
Zendaya is wearing: Foundation in Classic Tan • Eyeshadow in Goldens • Eyeliner in Black Onyx • Mascara in Very Black • Brow powder in Rich Brown • Lip liner in Clear • Lipstick in Gel-Ful
Vanessa Hudgens
I love Vanessa's shimmering pink lipstick and matching glittery eyeshadow. The frosted lip finish in particular is very '80s, but somehow looks modern with the clean updo and matching outfit. I think even the false lashes work here. Seeing her naturally thinner upper lip makes me happy—injections there have become THAT mainstream. (Sad!)
Vanessa is wearing: Eyeliner in Black
Rita Ora
Believe it or not, I like Rita's yellow highlights! Pink and yellow is the beauty combination that seems so wrong, yet looks so right. I love her face-framing updo, creamy hot pink lipstick, perfected skin and long lashes. The matching pink dress is important, too—it's just so unapologetically Barbie!
Paris Jackson
Truth be told, Paris could wear ANY shadow colour and her eyes would still be mesmerizing. But this burnt orange one is especially effective at bringing out her light baby blues. I like that she framed them with natural black lashes and soft, un-tweezed brows, although I'm not crazy about the brown lipstick (or her new brunette hair colour!).

Yara Shahidi
Okay, how cute is Yara's oversized top knot (if we even call that a knot)?! And her skin is so lovely and glowy. More and more these days, we're seeing stars shun powder and tweezers for a more natural look. Besides some peach blush, the one makeup adornment is a skinny cat-eye flick.

Katherine Langford
Katherine skipped heavy eye makeup, and instead let her pinky lip stain do the talking. I'm obsessed! The eyeshadow is just the sheerest warm champagne, and along with the blush, it's beautifully blended. Her long, centre-parted waves are the perfect finishing touch.
Aisha Dee
Aisha's flat-topped, voluminous-bottomed hairstyle is one of my favourites from way back. (Anyone remember Gwen Stefani rocking a similar half-up style back in the day?) I think this one is even better! The hot pink lips and illuminated eyes continue the fun. I just wish she'd skipped the false lashes, along with the horizontal lines under her brows.
Katherine McNamara
Katherine's got the right idea with her makeup—she's playing up her lashes and upper lash lines, but kept her lips subtle with a pink stain. How did I not notice her lovely skin and brows before? Problem is, the hairband and bouffant waves are a bit dated, and with the cat eyes, it's just too much. I'm still campaigning for her to transition to a softer strawberry blonde.
Peyton List
Peyton's bright metallic copper eyeshadow, with the colour extending right up to her brows, is an unexpected choice with her red dress and beach-textured hair. But I like it! Wisely, she kept her lips and cheeks nude. Unfortunately, her hair lets this down a bit; besides the regrowth, I think the colour is off with her skin tone.
Bella Thorne
If Bella's goal for the TCAs was to be memorable, then she certainly succeeded with that! I think I would've loved this glitter get-up when I was 5. I know this is not meant to be a "natural" look, and I'm okay with that. But I feel like it would be more elevated if she chose just one element (like the glitter explosion), instead of having so many different things going on. The hair colour and piecey curls are my least favourite part.
